Explore America's Sentinels of the Sea
August 21 -24, 2018

Today, lighthouses are valued for their beauty and the simple, romantic lifestyle they suggest. From our "constantly connected" perspective it's hard to imagine that they were once state-of-the-art.

Your cruise begins with an overview of the development of lighthouses over time.  Then we’re off on a tall ship adventure viewing up to a dozen lighthouses that can only be accessed by water.

Weather permitting, we'll visit a lighthouse, receive a guided tour from the keeper of the light, and have an opportunity to climb up to the lantern.  You'll return from this cruise with an appreciation of the historic role lighthouses have played, great photos, and new friends!

The Mystic Whaler Experience

The Mystic Whaler offers sailing vacations with a variety of cabin types. Though the ship was inspired by 19th century coastal schooners, the Mystic Whaler was built for the passenger trade and includes private cabins, hot showers and a cozy main salon.

The captains and crew take care of all of the details freeing you to lounge in the sun, read a book, help raise sail, steer the ship, climb loft or make new friends with your shipmates and crew - it's up to you. Cruises are all-inclusive including home-cooked meals and beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and lemonade). Please feel free to bring your own adult beverages or soda as these are not provided.
